Ginkgo powder functions as an antioxidant ingredient in rinse-off products. It disperses easily in dry blends (powder masks/cleansing grains) and, at low levels in emulsions, can subtly improve feel and appearance. It can also be extracted into Aqua or glycols for use in toners and gels. Use small doses to manage natural color/odor.
Benefits:
● Mild shine-reducing effect and improved pore appearance for oily/combination skin
● Antioxidant support from flavonoids/terpenes
● Improved skin feel in rinse-off products
● Adds a soft, natural tint in powder formats
●
Plant-derived
and suitable for minimalist formulas
How to use:
● Powder masks/cleansing blends: mix dry with clays; wet at use with Aqua or a hydrosol to form a smooth paste.
● Emulsions (cream/lotion): disperse as a paste in a little glycerin or propanediol, or as an aqueous slurry; add in cool-down with homogenization; fine-filter if needed.
● Toner/gel (as an extract): prepare a filtered Aqua/glycol extract or a light hydroalcoholic extract, then preserve appropriately.
●
Safety: patch
